- Currently, we are performing 3 clinical trials in patients with asthma and 1 clinical trial in patients with nasal allergies. Look at the trial descriptions below and contact the coordinator by phone or email if you are interested.
- 1. An injectable medication for severe asthma (Amgen)
- Requirements:
- Age of patient – 18-65 year old
- Smoking status – less than 10 year history and no smoking for past year
- Current medication – medium-high-dose inhaled corticosteroids
- (example Flovent 200-1000 mcg/day)
- Study details
- Visits every 2 weeks in the morning
- Study duration 5 months
- Patient compensation $1300
- Comment –good study for patients with more severe asthma.

- 2. Inhaled medication for moderate asthma (Boerhinger)
- Requirements:
- Age – 18-65 year old
- Smoking status – less than 10 year history and no smoking for past year
- Low-medium dose inhaled corticosteroids (example Flovent 250-500 mcg/day)
- Study details
- Visits every 4 weeks in the evening (after 5 PM)
- Study duration 6 months
- Patient compensation $1325
- Comment – good study for patients with moderately uncontrolled asthma.

- 3. Oral medication for mild asthma and allergies (Actellion)
- Requirements:
- Age – 18-65 year old
- Smoking status – less than 10 year history and no smoking for past year
- Patients on inhaled albuterol only
- Study details
- Visits every 1-2 weeks in the morning
- Study duration 3 months
- Patient compensation $800
- Comment – good study for patients with mild persistent asthma

- 4. Oral medication for seasonal nasal allergies (Schering)
- Requirements:
- Age – 18 years old and up
- Nasal allergy symptoms with nasal congestion for > 4 years
- Study details
- 3 total visits
- Study duration 3 weeks
- Patient compensation $210
- Comment – good study for patients with seasonal allergy
